How does your Religious Faith influence your spending habits?

I consider these factors:
1. Not spending is the default decision. Is not spending more consistent with my desire to live simply and not conformed to the world?
2. Use of item or service. If I spend, will my use of the product or service honor God?
3. Selection of provider. If I must spend, can I find a provider of the item or service that also appears to honor God in their business?
4. Support for Church. Will my spending affect my support for church and other religious ministries?

It's one thing when you attack political candidates because of their supporting issues. It's one thing when you attack them for doing something ridiculous or wrong. But the following cartoon posted in the WashingtonPost.com has surpassed the line and has demeaned a religious practice in the effort to belittle a political candidate. :<
